Hydrology

The creek begins at an unnamed lake at an elevation of 515 metres (1,690 ft), about 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Highway 17, travels north through a series of small lakes, and crosses the Canadian Pacific Railway transcontinental mainline between the settlements of Amyot to the west and Girdwood, 1.6 kilometres (1 mi) to the east. It then takes in an unnamed left tributary from West Tripoli Lake and Tripoli Lake at 48°28′10″N 84°46′56″W / 48.46944°N 84.78222°W / 48.46944; -84.78222 at an elevation of 420 metres (1,378 ft). Tripoli Creek continues north, takes in the right tributary Ryerson Creek, and reaches its mouth at Esnagi Lake on the Magpie River at an elevation of 344 metres (1,129 ft).
