North Ostrobothnia[1] (Finnish: Pohjois-Pohjanmaa; Swedish: Norra Österbotten) is a region of Finland. It borders the Finnish regions of Lapland, Kainuu, Northern Savonia (Pohjois-Savo), Central Finland and Central Ostrobothnia, as well as the Russian Republic of Karelia.
