Salas-e Babajani County or Salasi Bawajani (Kurdish: شارستانی سەلاسی باوەجانی Persian: شهرستان ثلاث باباجانی) is a county in Kermanshah Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Tazehabad. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 37,056, in 7,734 families.[1] The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Ezgeleh District. The county has two cities: Tazehabad and Ezgeleh.
The spoken language in the city is Kurdish, but the language which is used in schools and offices is Farsi, since the official language in Iran is Persian Almost everyone in the city are fluent in Farsi.

History
Darneh/Derne ( Kurdish: ده ڕنه) (Persian: درنه) is one of the historical places in Salas-e Babajani County which mentioned by Herodotus (5th century BC) {; διà Δaρνɛων} and Ptolemy (1st century AD). For decades Darneh/ Derne has been capital of Derteng, Hulwan and Bajalan dynasties, but now is a small village in Doli Dere Region in Central District of Salas-e Babajani County.[2]
Some of the most important historical elders whom raised from Salas-e Babajani County are Habibollah Khan-e Babajani ( Persian: حبیب الله خان باباجانی) ( Kurdish: حه بیب به گ/ حه بیبه ڵا خانی باوه جانی) renowned as a Nizam Al- Ayaleh ( نظام الایاله) and Mostafa Khan-e Babajani ( Persian: مصطفی خان باباجانی) ( Kurdish: مسه فاخانی باوه جانی) renowned as a Masoud al-Saltanah ( مسعودالسلطنه). Both of them has a great role in the history of Kermanshah, specially in Hawraman and Salas-e Babajani County. Tombs of those two great men are located in historical cemetery of Khaneh Shur in Central District of Salas-e Babajani County.
Celebrities
Khana Qubadi or ( Xana Qubadî in Kurdish), (1700–1759), who lived in Derne the capital of Derteng and Bajelan dynasties located in modern day Salas-e Babajani County, translated Quran first time in history to the Kurdish language. Unfortunately his translation book had been burned by extremists, accordingly he had to be fugitive to the Baban dynasty capital in Shahrizor. Vali Dewane (Kurdish: وه لی دێوانه) (Persian: ولی دیوانه) is another poet who lived in Derne. The biography of Vali Dewane has been cames in love like Majnun, even more than him[3][4][better source needed]

On 12 November 2017 at 18:18 UTC (21:48 Iran Standard Time, 21:18 Arabia Standard Time), an earthquake with a moment magnitude of 7.3 occurred on the Iran–Iraq border, just inside Iran, in Ezgeleh, Salas-e Babajani County, Kermanshah Province, with an epicentre approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of the city of Halabja, Iraqi Kurdistan.[5]
